Alto Strumstick

Add a Built-in Pickup $90. This great sounding piezo-pickup was custom designed for the Strumstick by Schatten. 1/4" jack, plugs into any guitar amp (no pre-amp needed). Better tone than a stick-on pickup. Put a Strumstick into the shopping cart first, then come back and order your pickup.

This is a Built-in Pickup. That means we specially modify a Strumstick to accomodate the pickup. You must get a Strumstick in the same order as the Built-in Pickup.

Shorter than the Standard, tuned to C. Rosette soundhole. 24" long. The Alto was designed for a high, mandolin-like sound. (It is a Standard Strumstick that starts at the third fret). THOUGH SMALLER, THIS IS NOT SPECIFICALLY A CHILDRENS MODEL, THE STANDARD STRUMSTICK IS IDEAL FOR CHILDREN.

Three strings. Plays in key of C (tuned C, G, C) Can also be tuned to B-flat or A (A, E, A)

It has a very bright, high pitched sound
24 1/4 X 4 X 1". Diatonic scale (no wrong notes), plus flatted seventh. Padouk body, spruce soundboard, maple back, lasercut soundhole inlay included. Comes with instruction CD, book, songbook, pick, and adjustable strap. NOTE: The instruction CD is played using a G Strumstick, not a C Alto. CD DOES NOT give you notes to tune this model.
